It’s Real Kyper at Noon, and WE ARE LIVE with Episode 42, as Nick Kypreos is back with Doug Maclean to dive into all the latest NHL playoff storylines. One of those hot topics right out of the gates is if a coach’s challenge is worth the risk? The boys discuss.

In the West, it took just 31 seconds into the first overtime last night before Alexander Radulov beat Robin Lehner stick side off the post and in. Dallas takes a 2-1 series lead in the Western Conference Finals.

Flyers forward Sean Couturier was awarded the Selke Trophy yesterday, for the leagues best defensive forward. He edged out Patrice Bergeron and Ryan O’Reilly were the other finalists. It was great to see Couturier get the nod, after finishing second for the award in 2017-18.

Tonight, we will see if the New York Islanders can show some life in the Eastern Conference Finals. Down 0-2 after a crushing defeat earlier this week, they will have to try and do a better job at containing Brayden Point, who is making his case for the MVP. Can the Islanders make it a series?

Western Conference Finals:

  • Vegas Golden Knights (1) vs. Dallas Stars (3): DAL leads 2-1

Eastern Conference Finals:

  • Tampa Bay Lightning (2) vs. New York Islanders (6): TB leads 2-0
