Before we get there. Kyper goes over some news around the league, including the Minnesota Wild signing defensemen Jonas Brodin to a 7-year $42-million contract extension on Tuesday. Sources have reported that the team has actively been shopping Matt Dumba as well. The Florida Panthers have dismissed assistant coach, Mike Kitchen, after a reported allegation of kicking a player. Washington Capitals GM has stated that he “assumes” goaltender Braden Holtby will go to free agency.
In the Eastern Conference Finals, the New York Islanders live to fight another day after a double-overtime goal from Jordan Eberle. Can they continue to climb an uphill battle and extend their series against the Tampa Bay Lightning? This one isn’t over yet folks.
