It’s Real Kyper at Noon, and WE ARE LIVE with Episode 53, as Nick Kypreos is back with Doug Maclean to dive into all the latest NHL playoff storylines.
What a weekend of playoff hockey. The Dallas Stars defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning in dramatic fashion Saturday night, with a Corey Perry notching his second of the game, this time in double-overtime. Veteran Joe Pavelski scored his 61st career playoff goal to tie the game with just under 7 minutes to play. He now owns the record for most playoff goals scored by an American-born player.
With the series now 3-2, the Lightning are still able to close this thing out on Monday night. Unfortunately, they will have to do so without Steven Stamkos who has been ruled out for the remainder of the series. Tampa Bay will have to find a way to solve Stars’ goaltender, Anton Kudobin, who was fantastic in Game 5 stopping 39-of-41 shots on goal.
