It’s Real Kyper at Noon, and WE ARE LIVE with Episode 55, as Nick Kypreos is back with Doug Maclean to dive into all the latest storylines around the NHL.
We still have to get Mac’s take on the newly-crowned Stanley Cup Champion, Tampa Bay Lightning. What did the guys think of the bubble, and will it ever happen again? While we’re on the subject. Can Tampa Bay repeat next year? And how do they do it?
After 15 years, the New York Rangers have officially parted ways with franchise goaltender, Henrik Lundqvist. The contract buyout is executed with one season remaining on his deal, with an annual cap hit of $8.5 million. Lundqvist played 887 games for the Rangers and carries with him multiple franchise records, such as 64 shutouts. New York made the playoffs 11 times in those 15 seasons, making it all the way to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2014 and conference finals twice.
