Week 3 staff picks summary
We continue to have some great matchups unfold every week for the three featured games that the Line Movement staff attempt to pick winners for. The first game was a predictable shootout between Dallas and Seattle. The Seahawks made the plays late to pull out the victory and it appears the mindset of “Let Russ cook” is in full effect as he continues his MVP worthy start to the season. The Packers took on the Saints on Sunday night as Aaron Rodgers continues to connect with his new friend Allen Lazard. A strong performance by Alvin Kamara wasn’t enough as Green Bay held on to win. And finally the battle of the past two MVPs saw one shine much brighter than the other. Patrick Mahomes accounted for five touchdowns as the Chiefs rolled in Baltimore.
The overall record of the team stays above .500 and moves to 37-35. Geoff Ulrich continues his impressive run by sweeping the board with a 3-0 week and moving to 8-1 overall. The same pair of Matts are in second but now two games back. A few members of the staff going 0-3 have shaken up the standings but it’s only week 4 and there is plenty of football left.
Week 4 games
This week’s games will begin Sunday afternoon with Cam Newton going head to head with Patrick Mahomes as the Patriots take on the Chiefs. Then Sunday night will bring the “play for a tie” Eagles into the Bay Area to suit up against the injury-prone 49ers. And finally, on Monday night, the Falcons will attempt to actually hang onto a lead, if they can even get one, against Aaron Rodgers and the undefeated Packers.
