Week 5 staff picks summary
Believe it or not, we are already five weeks into the NFL season. A season that some thought may not even happen but with necessary scheduling adjustments and moving games around, we have successfully completed the first five weeks. Last week’s three games offered a good amount of drama and tight finishes. Sunday afternoon, the Browns (who may actually be good?) hung on to beat the Colts in a game that was picked down the middle by the Line Movement staff. Then, on Sunday night, typical late heroics by potential MVP Russel Wilson gave the Seahawks a one-point win over the Vikings. And closing things out on Monday night, Drew Brees and the Saints were too much late for the rookie, Justin Herbert, and the Chargers who ultimately went down in overtime.
The overall record of the eight staff members making picks moves to an impressive 71 wins and 49 losses for a correct percentage of roughly 60%. Geoff Ulrich continues to be on top of the leaderboard but after a 2-1 week, two staffers are only two games behind. Onto week 6.
Week 6 games
This week we start things off Sunday afternoon as the 4-0 Packers head into Florida to take on Tom Brady and the Buccaneers. Later that night, the Rams will head up to the northern half of the state to face the disappointing 49ers with a record of 2-3. Finally, on Monday night, the Chiefs will head to Buffalo as Josh Allen and the Bills look to rebound after a Tuesday night loss to the Titans.
